We Love the 80’s

Last weekend, Adam and I resurrected his old 80’s-themed party. About 35 of our peeps showed, mostly in concert t-shirts, three-quarter length leggings, jean-skirts, ratted hair, bracelet overkill, rolled jeans and more. Initially, it was a little too humid to play outside so we moved the party indoors. The weather eventually cooperated and we were able to eat and carouse outside. The costumes were a constant form of entertainment, especially for me, the obsessed photographer. Adam delivered a rad, killer and totally excellent 80’s repertoire that lasted well into the evening. Though we had hoped to hold an obnoxious lip-sync contest, it was not to be. We had a great time just chatting with friends in our punkish gear and of course, tapping the keg. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it fun.

Don’t forget to go giggle at my photos!

All Lists and No Real Posts Make Heather a Dull Blogger

Too bad, it’s another list for you! Here, I’ll mix it up and give you the alpha this time:

A. Due to some very lame construction on 394, my commute to and from work has been hellishly long over the past two days.
B. Audra and Donnie were married in a surprisingly sentimental civil ceremony at the Ramsey County Courthouse on 7/7/07. Congratulations to you both – I love you lots.
C. Adam and I participated in the Amazing Race – Minneapolis style! Our team came in third (out of four teams…whatever). Photos to follow.
D. I started the long, sweaty process of digging out my garden.
E. I’m on Day 3 of my diet – and going strong. It is only Day 3, right?
F. The single raspberry plant that survived the transplant produced it’s first berry! She was a tart one…
G. The Police concert was faboo! We had a lovely dinner at Carmelo’s with the Nelsons and then rocked out in our sweet fifth row seats at Xcel. As a bonus, we also ended up with Rock Star Parking.

Until later, Gators.
